Biography

Sat Bisla is a seminal figure in the global music industry, whose career spans almost four decades and encompasses a broad spectrum of roles, including A&R, DJ, journalist, broadcaster, booker, manager, and executive advisor. His diverse experience has made him a key player in shaping the music, media, and technology landscapes worldwide. 

As a distinguished A&R executive, Sat has collaborated with major record labels such as Arista Records, Atlantic Records, BMG, Capitol Records, Columbia, Concord, Epic, EMI, Interscope, Island Records, LAVA Records, RCA, Warner Records, Universal Music Group, and others. His keen eye for talent has been instrumental in discovering and signing numerous artists who have achieved global acclaim. 

Sat’s influence extends beyond individual artist deals. He was a driving force behind the creation of the global A&R Network, a pioneering resource for the music industry’s key players. This initiative, developed during his tenure at Clear Channel Radio and Clear Channel Entertainment (now Live Nation), laid the groundwork for The New Music Network, which has since evolved into iHeart Media, a leading global audio and media platform. 

In 2006, Sat launched Pangaea Entertainment Group, encompassing A&R Worldwide, MUSEXPO, and Worldwide Radio Summit. His radio show, Passport Approved, has gained international acclaim, being syndicated on over 80 radio stations, including KROQ Los Angeles, KNDD Seattle, Radio 1, India, and Flux FM Berlin, Germany. The show has also featured influential guests such as Apple’s Zane Lowe and EA Games’ Steve Schnur. 

Sat’s pivotal support has contributed to the early success of numerous artists, including Adele, Dido, Muse, Coldplay, Katy Perry, Forest Blakk, Sheppard, Keane, and countless others. His remarkable achievements have been recognized by Billboard, Variety, and other major publications. 

In 2018, he received a proclamation from the Mayor and City of Los Angeles, and in 2019, he was honored with the “Founder’s Award” from AMEC, acknowledging his significant contributions to the global music and media communities.
