Biography

Brooklyn-born Russ Manning began his career studying jazz bass under masters Buster Williams and Eddie Gomez, before touring internationally with the Twin Shadow.

After relocating to Los Angeles, he transitioned into music supervision, gaining early experience as a coordinator on projects for BET, HBO Max, Peacock, and Netflix. Alongside his supervision work, Russ developed a catalog of one-stop music for film and television and contributed to campaigns for Apple, H&M, Vice Media, and Fruit of the Loom, while also creating original theme songs for Peacock and Hulu.

In 2022, he joined Paramount Global’s Creative Music Strategy team, where he manages the daily creative and operational needs of the Paramount Music Library and oversees commissioned original music.

In 2025, he scored his very first independent film, Contaminant, a critically acclaimed black-and-white horror short.

Driven by a passion for connecting music and technology, Russ is committed to creating opportunities for emerging artists and producers in the sync space, and fostering collaborations that bring fresh voices to film and television.
