Biography

Mason Cooper, President of Songrunner Entertainment, is a seasoned Music Supervisor with over 125 Film/TV projects to his name. Guided by his philosophy to “fulfill a director’s vision within the producer’s parameters,” he seamlessly integrates music and sound into storytelling. His recent film projects include The Beekeeper” (Jason Statham), Sweetwater (Kevin Pollak, Richard Dreyfuss), Alarum (Sylvester Stallone, Scott Eastwood), and Savage Salvation (Robert De Niro, John Malkovich), among others. Notable past work includes the Steve Jobs biopic Jobs and the music documentary Immediate Family.

In television, Cooper has supervised popular series like “Bring On The Dancing Horses” (Kate Bosworth), “You Me Her” (Greg Poehler, Rachel Blanchard), and “Loudermilk” (Ron Livingston). He has also overseen over 150 live music concerts for Audience Music, featuring performances by The Foo Fighters, Taylor Swift, and Imagine Dragons. Additionally, he serves as the Executive Music Consultant for LA’s Geffen Playhouse.

A formally trained musician, Cooper’s career began in music publishing, representing iconic artists like John Lennon, Bernie Taupin, and Smokey Robinson. He has also contributed as a songwriter and producer, collaborating with talents such as Dennis Quaid, Jason Alexander, and Bret Michaels.

As a mentor, speaker, and panelist at international music and film festivals, Cooper is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of music professionals while continuing his influential work in the intersection of film, TV, and music.
