Marek is a board member of Music Export Poland, and the President of Society of Polish Audiovisual Composers SPACe. In the past, he served as Vice President of Society of Authors ZAiKS, member of CIAM ExCo, board member of European Music Exporters Exchange and Chairman of the NGO Council to the Minister of Culture of Poland.
Marek was born in 1966 in Krakow and graduated from the Jazz Faculty at the Music Academy in Katowice in vocal class, arrangements, and compositions. He graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2022 with a certificate in “Music Marketing”.
He was a member of famous Polish bands like De Mono, Emigranci, Surzyn Band. In addition he is a composer of jazz, pop and rock music, arranger, and vocalist.
Throughout his career, Marek cooperated with Polish Radio and TV and worked as a music director for dozens of shows. He is also recognized by his extensive works for children, presenting at famous TV shows, composing songs and cooperating with artists like Majka Jeżowska or Aida (Armenian artist, Platinum record, 2006)
From 1996 to 2002, Marek ran his record label 2Marx, and until 2021 he ran his own recording studio Homar Music, collaborating as a music producer with many Polish artists.
