Biography

Kabiru Bello is the Vice President Global A&R at Warner Recorded Music, where he has played a pivotal role in advancing Warner Music’s global reach, building cross-cultural collaborations, with the works of Teddy Swims, Central Cee, NLE Choppa, Maria Beccera, and Omah Lay. 

Known for orchestrating international success stories, Bello’s approach has helped artists break out from local markets to achieve worldwide recognition. Today, he’s also recognized for fostering collaborations that bridge cultural and musical divides, demonstrating his belief that music transcends language and geography.

Bello’s career began in Malmö, Sweden, where he made his mark by scouting and working with the elite of Nordic artists. Building on the success of his company, 20/20 Records, which was consulted by the legendary Quincy Jones, and personal mentor, he joined Warner Music in early 2017. He launched Asylum Records in the Nordics, establishing a home for the region’s emerging superstars. This early work laid the foundation for his cross-border approach to artist discovery and development on a global scale. 

Under his leadership, Warner Music has strengthened ties on the global music scene, with Bello leveraging his deep commitment to artist development and his ear for international talent. His work has helped artists break out from their local markets and find global recognition, underscoring his belief that music transcends language and geography.
