Biography

Justine von Winterfeldt is an Emmy Award-winning music supervisor and Head of Music Supervision at Format Entertainment, where she leads a diverse slate of high-profile projects spanning drama, comedy, animation, and blockbuster franchises.

Justine’s supervision credits include acclaimed television series such as Mike Flanagan’s Midnight Mass, The Haunting of Bly Manor, The Midnight Club, and The Fall of the House of Usher. Her versatility is evident in her work on comedic projects like Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar and Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, as well as dramas including The Life of Chuck and The Rookie.

She has also become a key player in Marvel Studios’ expanding universe, overseeing music for series such as Hawkeye, Daredevil: Born Again, and Agatha: Coven of Chaos, and recently completed her first Marvel feature film, The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

In animation, Justine has curated music for critically acclaimed series and films including Amazon’s Invincible, Netflix’s Lost Ollie, Devil May Cry, Ultraman: Rising, The Willoughbys, and Next Gen, demonstrating her ability to craft compelling sonic identities across genres and platforms.

She joined Format in 2014 as a music coordinator to Julia Michels, contributing to popular films like Trolls, Pitch Perfect 2, and Bad Moms. Her career began under Ann Kline on the Emmy-winning series Shameless, laying the foundation for her rise in the field.

A classically trained pianist and passionate advocate for music in media, Justine is an active member of both the Guild of Music Supervisors and The Recording Academy, where she continues to champion the role of music in storytelling.
