Julia Michels is a Grammy-winning music supervisor with a distinguished career in film and an impressive track record of overseeing projects that have collectively earned over $2 billion at the global box office. She began her career as a music executive at Twentieth Century Fox, where she managed music across various divisions. Michels later led the soundtrack department at EMI Records and supervised music for MGM Pictures before establishing her own successful consultancy.
Michels is acclaimed for her work on A Star Is Born, which earned her a Grammy, and has been honored with multiple awards for Outstanding Music Supervision in Film by the Hollywood Music in Media Awards (2010, 2012, 2019) and Best Supervision in Film by the Guild of Music Supervisors (2011, 2012, 2017, 2019). She also received a Billboard Music Award, an American Music Award, and a Grammy nomination for Pitch Perfect 2.
