Josh Abraham is a GRAMMY®-nominated music executive, producer, and songwriter, and Co-founder & Co-CEO of PULSE Music Group. Named to Billboard’s Power 100 and Indie Power Players lists, Abraham has worked with top-tier artists such as Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Foster The People, Thirty Seconds to Mars, and Shakira. His production and songwriting contributions account for over 50 million albums sold worldwide and more than 5 billion music streams.
Abraham’s career began in the mid-1990s as a self-taught musician, producer, and engineer, shaping some of the most successful rock albums of that era. As A&R and staff producer for Virgin Records, he played a key role in developing acts like Thirty Seconds to Mars and Courtney Love. In 2004, Abraham acquired Soundcastle Recording Studios in Los Angeles, which became the headquarters for PULSE Music Group.
Founded in 2008 with partners Scott Cutler and Anne Preven, PULSE Music Group has grown into a leading music publishing and record label, credited with over 100 billion music streams and 250 million RIAA-certified units. PULSE represents an award-winning roster of artists and songwriters, including Kehlani, James Blake, Brent Faiyaz, and Starrah. The company’s ventures include Rick Rubin’s American Songs and Marc Anthony’s Magnus Media.
In 2023, Abraham earned a GRAMMY® nomination for his work on “Artists Inspired by Music: Interscope Reimagined,” a project that revisited Interscope Records’ history through visual art. He also co-hosted a charity auction with Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine, raising $2.5 million for the Iovine and Young Center in Los Angeles. Abraham continues to lead PULSE Music Group with a vision of supporting culturally impactful artists and shaping the future of music.
