Jason Bentley is an established tastemaker in the Los Angeles music scene with extensive experience as a radio host, event producer, and music supervisor providing bespoke music solutions for a range of clients, including major Hollywood studios, European fashion houses, and automotive industry giants.
Jason served as Music Director of NPR flagship KCRW radio for over a decade, managing the station’s music department, overseeing the station’s public events programming, and hosting KCRW’s daily music variety show Morning Becomes Eclectic where he presented performance sessions and interviews with many of today’s biggest artists including Adele, John Legend, Elton John, Jack White, Hans Zimmer, Vampire Weekend, and Beck among many others. Jason continues to host and produce Metropolis, a global Dance & Electronic music mix show every Saturday night on KCRW.
As a music supervisor, Jason has worked on a wide range of projects. He was nominated for a Grammy as Producer of The Matrix soundtrack, and has supervised music for popular films Tron: Legacy (Disney), and served as music consultant for the films Oblivion (Universal) and Top Gun: Maverick (Paramount) among others.
Jason has been a featured DJ at major music festivals including Coachella (5x), Electric Daisy Carnival, the HARD Festival, San Diego’s CRSSD Festival, and Lightning in a Bottle, and served as on-camera host of the Coachella festival livestream on YouTube for six years interviewing a wide range of festival artists, and overseeing the growth of the livestream audience worldwide reaching 16M viewers during his tenure.
