Living in the heart of Nashville, JAMES BRUNER is poised to ignite the world of rock ‘n’ roll with his electrifying presence and intense heart for music. At just 24, this young man has already captured the attention of both fans and music insiders alike with his unique blend of artists like The Rolling Stones and Arctic Monkeys.
Born and bred in the skate culture of the US Midwest, JAMES quickly developed a longing for the expression of art and energy through the tools around him. So, in his early years, he found a skateboard and a guitar and got to work.
He recalls seeing skateboarder Mark Johnson skating to “Five Years” by David Bowie in the “Pretty Sweet” skate video. He floated around every obstacle he skated while listening to the gentle drums faded-in followed by the powerful roll of the piano. It was an absolute masterpiece, and amazing to witness such powerful art in unison.
After honing his craft in Illinois, JAMES realized he wanted to swim in a much bigger pond. So, Nashville Tennessee it was. He continues to write, perform and record in Music City. Onward and outward, he found himself in recent times touring in the US and UK with artists of various types, including Barns Courtney, The Struts, and William Fitzsimmons.
Though he wouldn’t tell you himself, JAMES hasn’t the ability to let ego get in the way of his music. Whether playing for one or one-hundred-thousand, JAMES rocks his heart out for all listeners.
