Isaac Heymann

A&R Executive, Artist Manager & Executive Producer, American Recordings & American Songs Publishing

Biography

Isaac Heymann is an accomplished music executive, artist manager, executive producer, and meditation teacher whose career bridges the worlds of music, creativity, and personal development. For the past 18 years, Heymann has played an integral role in the A&R and creative operations of Rick Rubin’s American Recordings, helping discover, develop, and support artists whose work continues to shape contemporary music and culture.

Together with longtime business partner Michael Goldberg, Heymann co-created American Songs Publishing, a publishing division dedicated to discovering original talent and fostering lasting creative relationships. Their work has contributed to the discovery, signing, and development of an eclectic roster of artists including Run the Jewels, Kaytranada, Turnstile, BROCKHAMPTON, Freddie Gibbs, Jean Dawson, Charley Crockett, Colter Wall, Marcus King, and Julia Wolf.

As members of Rick Rubin’s in-house A&R team, Heymann and Goldberg have also supported Rubin’s creative and production work with artists including Tyler Childers, The Strokes, and beabadoobee. Beyond recorded music, Heymann served as an executive producer of Showtime’s Shangri-La, the documentary series examining Rubin’s creative philosophy and the artistic environment of his renowned Malibu recording studio, which Heymann and Goldberg have helped manage and book for 15 years.

Complementing his work in music, Heymann has spent two decades teaching meditation and helping members of the music and entertainment communities cultivate greater stillness, awareness, and creative clarity. He studied and lived with renowned Transcendental Meditation teacher Nancy Cooke de Herrera, whose students included members of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Madonna, Lenny Kravitz, and System of a Down. This formative experience shaped Heymann’s deeply personal and accessible approach to meditation.

Over the years, Heymann has taught more than 1,000 students, including Alexa Demie, Dominic Fike, Robert Downey Jr., and Taylor Russell. For the past seven years, he has also hosted weekly Sunday Meditation gatherings at his home, creating a welcoming environment for individuals at every stage of their practice.

Through his philosophy of “Meditate & Enjoy,” Heymann encourages people to integrate mindfulness naturally into everyday life. His unique perspective brings together nearly two decades of high-level music industry experience with a profound understanding of the relationship between inner awareness, artistic expression, and creative freedom.
