Biography

With over three decades of transformative impact in the global music industry, Gary Spivack stands as one of the most respected and multifaceted executives in the live entertainment space. Currently a Senior Executive at Eventim Live Global, Gary focuses on global touring strategy and North American live events. Previously, he spent more than 15 years as Head of Talent at Danny Wimmer Presents, curating some of America’s most iconic hard rock festivals including Aftershock, Welcome to Rockville, Sonic Temple, and Louder Than Life. Most recently, he served on the executive team at Savelive, the innovative venue network co-founded by Marc Geiger.

Gary’s music career began behind the drum kit in Los Angeles before transitioning to the business side, where he rose through the label ranks with executive roles at Elektra, MCA, Atlantic, Capitol, and Geffen Records, overseeing national promotion and marketing for top rock and alternative acts. In 2003, he co-founded Right Arm Entertainment, which evolved into Rockhouse Presents, his own boutique talent-buying agency.

He is a trusted partner to the industry’s top artist managers, agents, label heads, and media leaders and has produced groundbreaking content, including the critically acclaimed documentary “Long Live Rock… Celebrate the Chaos”—a raw, unfiltered look at the power of rock culture featuring Metallica, Slipknot, Guns N’ Roses, and more.

As an author, Gary penned Coldplay: Look at the Stars (MTV Books) and contributed to Rock on the Range: Where Rock Lives. He recently served as Executive Producer for a forthcoming tribute album to Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Bad Company, set for release in 2025 via Primary Wave Music.

A frequent speaker and former adjunct professor, Gary has lectured at USC, CSUN, Loyola, and Musicians Institute. He proudly serves on the boards of Rock Against Racism and The Continuance Project, continuing to champion equity and creativity in music.
