As Vice President of Experiences, Chyna Brackeen owns and leads Sofar Sounds’ global live events and experiences business, shaping the company’s vision for how music and human connection come to life around the world. In this role, she guides a global ecosystem of promoters and partners—from Jakarta and Rio de Janeiro to Los Angeles, Tokyo, Berlin, Madrid, and Paris—building culture, community, and meaningful shared experiences at scale.
In her previous role as Managing Director of Global Communities, Chyna was the architect of Sofar’s evolution from a centrally managed operation to a locally powered model, unlocking creative autonomy in more than 250 cities worldwide.
Chyna joined Sofar in 2022 following a 15-year stint as founder and leader of Attack Monkey Productions, a full-service entertainment company known for high-impact festivals, bold brand launches, and innovative artist management. She spearheaded the explosive debut of Ole Smoky Moonshine and produced standout events like Rhythm N’ Blooms, the International Biscuit Festival, and Scruffy City Ramble – a nationally broadcast variety show that helped launch stars like Sturgill Simpson and The War & Treaty. Her artist-first approach landed clients on the stages of the world’s most coveted festivals and iconic venues and garnered attention from outlets including Vanity Fair, Food & Wine, NPR, Rolling Stone, and even Conan O’Brien. Earlier in her career, she was the first female executive at A.C. Entertainment, the force behind Bonnaroo Music + Arts Festival, where she worked with legends and emerging talent alike – from Adele and Bob Dylan, to Nine Inch Nails, and Common.
A leading voice behind the “Book More Women” movement, Brackeen has made diversity, inclusion, and artist empowerment the cornerstones of her career – earning nods from Teen Vogue, Pollstar, and other industry powerhouses.
