Chris Foitel started his love for music as a musician and artist playing classical, jazz and rock while growing up in Agoura Hills, CA.
After graduating from Loyola Marymount in 2005, at which time he had already been scouting for Epic Records in Santa Monica, he joined the label as A&R Manager where he signed his first band, Quietdrive. From there he moved to Atlantic Records in New York City in 2007 under Andy Karp and Craig Kallman. There he signed and developed acts Circa Survive, Little Boots, and Mayday Parade.
After his 3 year stint in New York City he moved back to Los Angeles to become the President/Head of A&R at Fearless Records where he spearheaded the signing and efforts of multi-Platinum acts Pierce The Veil, Breathe Carolina, and I Prevail. He also worked with gold achieving acts Motionless In White and Mayday Parade.
After the company was sold to Concord in 2016, he went to Epitaph for 7 years where he was Head of A&R and signed and developed Platinum selling act Cold Hart as well as HUNNY who went on to achieve nearly 300 million career streams.
In July of 2023 he reunited with his original boss and mentor, Pete Giberga, at AWAL where he currently serves as Sr. Vice President, A&R, and works across the company’s large roster of talent including Normal The Kid, Mind’s Eye, Annie DiRusso, Ellise, and TikTok mega influencer Bailey Spinn.
