With an extensive career in the music industry, Bob Bowen currently serves as the Worldwide Head of Music for Amazon MGM Studios, where he oversees music operations for both the Film and TV divisions globally, including Prime Video. In this role, he leads a diverse global team, managing music initiatives across regions including the U.S., U..K, European Union, India, Latin America, Brazil, and Japan. Under Bowen’s leadership, the music team has been instrumental in producing acclaimed soundtracks for major productions, such as the Grammy-nominated soundtrack for Daisy Jones & The Six, which made history by debuting at No.1 on the Billboard soundtrack chart.
Bowen’s distinguished career spans senior leadership positions at Amazon MGM Studios, Relativity Media, and New Line Cinema. He has been responsible for the music of Emmy and Golden Globe-winning television shows and over 70 theatrical releases, collectively generating more than $3 billion (USD) in revenue. Highlights of his work include the soundtrack for Hazbin Hotel, which has amassed over one billion streams and topped the Billboard Top Soundtrack Chart for 11 consecutive weeks.
Before joining Amazon MGM Studios, Bowen served as President of Music at Relativity Media, where he directed the company’s music initiatives and contributed to multiple Oscar and Golden Globe nominations. His prior role as Executive Vice President of Music at New Line Cinema involved overseeing music production for over 45 films, including notable box office successes such as Wedding Crashers and Elf.
Bowen holds an M.B.A. from the University of Oxford, where he is a Regional Ambassador, and a B.A. in marketing from Saint Bonaventure University. His work has earned him numerous accolades, including Emmy nominations and multiple Clio awards for outstanding contributions in the music industry.
