John Chavez is Sr. Vice President of Ground Control Touring (GCT), one of the world’s leading independent touring agencies. Founded in 2001, GCT operates offices in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, and Portland, representing a diverse roster of artists across the global live music landscape.

Based in Los Angeles, John leads GCT’s West Coast operations while maintaining a select roster of clients that includes Whitney, Bill Callahan, and Crumb. With a career focused on artist development, touring strategy, and the evolving live music business, he brings a deep understanding of the independent touring ecosystem and the opportunities shaping the industry today. John is based in Altadena, California.
