Alexi Cory-Smith is the CEO and co-founder of Bella Figura Music, a London-based music company dedicated to acquiring and managing catalogues of publishing and recording rights at the highest level. Founded in 2022 alongside long-term colleague Neelesh Prabhu, with veteran executive Gary Gersh serving as Chairman, Bella Figura has deployed nearly $200 million into carefully selected works—building a portfolio of timeless hits including the iconic RAK Music Publishing catalogue of songs which includes “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll,” “You Sexy Thing,” and “Kids in America”; The Human League’s “Don’t You Want Me,” Robbie Williams’ “Angels,” Aloe Blacc’s “I Need A Dollar,” and songs written with and performed by Adele, Amy Winehouse, Kylie Minogue, LeAnn Rimes, Keith Urban and more. The catalogue also includes iconic recording catalogues including albums by David Gray (“White Ladder”) and Belle & Sebastian (“If You’re Feeling Sinister”).
Before launching Bella Figura, Cory-Smith served as President of BMG UK for seven years, leading the publishing and recordings business through a period of exceptional growth, with UK revenues increasing from £5.9m to £125m. She was closely involved in building and acquiring some of the company’s most important catalogues and personally led landmark relationships with artists including The Rolling Stones, The Prodigy and Roger Waters, helping establish BMG as one of the world’s leading music companies.
