PHIL BOWDERY

PHIL BOWDERY

Executive President of Touring, International, Live Nation

Phil Bowdery was appointed EVP Touring Europe at Live Nation after SFX acquired Barry Clayman Concerts, where he was a Director; he has since been promoted to Executive President of Touring, International, where he oversees the management of offices in Australasia, Asia and China as well as international touring. Phil's passion for music and his wealth of experience in touring is a vital ingredient in the company's continued success across the globe.

Phil's music biz odyssey began at age 16 when he toured Germany as a drummer, later serving as road manager for the band Low for seven years. In 1978 he left the UK for the US and a position at Monarch Entertainment. After a year he returned to the UK and formed a long-time relationship with promoter Barry Clayman and became the tour manager for Leo Sayer. This working relationship continued at Barry's company MAM Agency, promoting other high-profile artists such as Neil Diamond, Frank Sinatra and Tom Jones. Most recently, Phil has promoted international superstars such as Madonna, Lady Gaga, U2, Stevie Wonder and Coldplay. In 2015 he received the Arthur Award for Promoter's Promoter.
