MADYX

MADYX

Origin: Las Vegas, though she now lives in Los Angeles
Contact: Michelle Blanchard

Song: "Where The Wild Things Are"

Madyx is the brainchild of 24-year-old singer/songwriter and guitarist Michelle Blanchard. She relocated from Las Vegas to Los Angeles at age 16, initially seeking success through the rock band Life Down Here. That group's debut album, The Beginning, was produced by Jay Baumgardner (Evanescence, Drowning Pool, Papa Roach) and won the group many fans…but Michelle's tastes were evolving. As a writer for The Examiner noted, "Madyx is the culmination of modern rock's lack of new horizons and the growing appreciation Michelle has for the Top 40 style music that incorporates all her musical tastes." Described as a mix of P!nk and Katy Perry, with influences ranging from Brody Dalle of The Distillers to Melissa Etheridge, Michelle's genuine and honest lyrics, combined with the pop/dance/alternative style of production, is the perfect mix for today's music lover.

Madyx isn't just a brand new name or persona with some new next wave music; it's Michelle comfortable in her own skin, sharing her experiences with the world in hopes to help others.

Madyx has recorded with Grammy-nominated producer Brian Howes (Daughtry, Simple Plan) in Los Angeles and the result was 2015's Some Kisses EP.

Madyx released the infectious summer anthem "Where The Wild Things Are," which was written by Madyx along with the award winning, multi-Platinum selling Swedish songwriter and producer, Carl Ryden (Bruno Mars, Kylie Minogue, Benny Benassi), who also produced the track. The song was featured on Asia Pop 40, across 28 radio markets in Asia with host Dom Lau (former Channel V VJ and E! News Asia). Asia Pop 40 is Asia's most influential syndicated mainstream pop music program.
